Ingredients:
To make the dough:
2 ¾ cups all-purpose flour;
1 teaspoon baking soda;
½ teaspoon baking powder;
1 cup butter; softened;
1 ½ cups white sugar;
1 egg;
1 teaspoon vanilla extract;
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350F.
Mix all the ingredients until you have formed a dough.
Roll it out with a rolling pin until its about 1/4 of an inch thick.
Use the rim of a water glass or a circular cutter, to cut through the dough, in circles.
lift the circular cuts in the dough you have made with a spatula and place them on a greased cooking pan.
brush with egg wash.
sprinkle top with nuts, salt, seeds, jam,
bake for about 6 – 10 minutes…but watch carefully so they don’t burn.
Take out when golden brown and let them rest…they will continue to cook for a few minutes.
